General Overview

St Josephs Higher Secondary School is one among the top five educational institutions in Kannur district. The school was first known as the Catholic Middle School. The Middle School was further transformed into Indian Middle School . On june first 1941 St.Josephs Boys High School came into being . There were 32 students in the first batch.Higher secondary sections were included in the school on august 16th 2000.

The school has to tell a lot of success stories in various fields. There were only about 32 students when the school was established. But now there are about( ) students studying in this school. The acheivements of the school in educational and cultural zones are ever memmorable. The school has 15 S.S.L.C state rank holders in its own credit.Nithin Valsan,Naquash P.V and Subith V.S are a few among the brilliant stars of St.josephs H.S.S. Nithin Valsan a student of 1999 -2000 batch was able to get first rank in AIEE examination , 10th rank in Kerala Engineering exam 2003 and third rank in CUSAT entrance examination.

Naquash P.V was able to win 8th rank in SSLC examination of 1998. He was the first rank holder of Kerala engineering entrance exam 2000. Subith V.S could achieve 14th rank in 1997 SSLC exam. He was the first rank holder of Kerala engineering entrance exam 2000.
